Why "Dwell"?
The nickname for our student ministry is DYG- which is an acronym for DeVotie Youth Group; however, it's also a reminder of the purpose of our student ministry- to lead students to "dig" deeper and build strong foundations, with God's word as the foundation. Our hope is after that foundation is established, our college and career students will learn to "dwell" in Christ and trust Him to direct them as they transition into their adult lives. "He is like a man building a house, who dug deep and laid the foundation on the rock. And when a flood arose, the stream broke against that house and could not shake it, because it had been well built." Luke 6:48 ESV |
