Luke 6:48 says, "He is like a man building a house, who dug deep and laid the foundation on the rock. And when a flood arose, the stream broke against that house and could not shake it, because it had been well built." One of the purposes of our student ministry is to "dyg deep" and lay a strong foundation in the minds and hearts of our students. We can't wait to meet you and/or your student and watch them grow in Christ!
What to Expect:
Sunday Mornings
We at DeVotie believe that spending time with fellow believers is important! DeVotie Youth Group, also called DYG, is a group of 6th-12th graders who desire to grow closer to Christ and closer to one another. DYG meets every Sunday morning at 9:45am. We have breakfast, fellowship, and take a closer look at God's Word. Following Sunday School, we meet at 11:00am with the rest of the church for our worship service.
Wednesday Nights
Wednesday nights are equally important as Sunday mornings. It is a great time to meet together to help feel excited and prepared for the rest of the week. The DYG service starts at 6:15pm on Wednesdays. However, we enjoy fellowship, so we open the youth room 30 minutes early to spend time together! In the summertime, we usually pick up dinner on our way to play pickleball at Tyus Park afterwards . In the colder months or when it's excessively hot, we go out to eat to spend time together as a church family afterwards!
